Free Summer Sounds Concerts Begin June 10 at Masonicare at Newtown - 5/15/2009

Newtown, CT, May 15, 2009.......... For the 23rd consecutive year, Ashlar of Newtown will sponsor FREE Summer Sounds concerts on the beautiful grounds of Masonicare at Newtown, 139 Toddy Hill Road, Newtown.  
             
Area residents are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy a variety of wonderful musical performances given by many of the area's most popular  bands.  All concerts begin at 7:00 p.m.  In the event of rain, or if it appears rain is imminent,  some concerts may be moved indoors where possible or cancelled.  Please call (203) 426-5847 for weather cancellation information.

Weds - June 10            Berkshire Big Band (Music from 30s, 40s and 50s)

Weds - June 24            The Galvanized Jazz Band (Dixieland Style Music)  

Thurs - July 16        St. Luke's Steel Band (Calypso & Island Music)

Thurs - July 30        The Frank Porto Band

Weds - Aug 5         The Second Company Governor's Foot Guard Swing Band
