Masonicare Hospice Volunteer Sister Anne Gagnon of Windsor Receives D.O.V.E. Award - 5/7/2009 East Hartford, CT, May 7, 2009........In celebration of National Volunteer Week, Masonicare Home Health & Hospice and Masonicare Partners Home Health & Hospice honored more than 300 community volunteers who cumulatively contributed thousands of volunteer hours to the hospice program during the past year. Awards were presented at special recognition events held at several offices throughout Connecticut. At a special award event held to recognize the extraordinary volunteers assigned through the East Hartford office of Masonicare Partners Home Health & Hospice, every honoree was recognized for his or her years of service and was presented with a gift of appreciation from Masonicare. In addition, D.O.V.E. (Dedicated to Outstanding Volunteer Excellence) award recipients received a uniquely designed D.O.V.E. award pin and a certificate of appreciation. Sister Anne Gagnon of Windsor received the highly regarded Dedicated to Outstanding Volunteer Excellence (D.O.V.E.) award. The office gives the D.O.V.E. award yearly to one volunteer who exhibits exceptional dedication to the program and exemplifies the true spirit of hospice care. Deborah Richards, Director of Volunteers for Masonicare's Home Health & Hospice, and Faith Grist and Laura Kroll, volunteer coordinators for the East Hartford hospice team, praised Sister Anne for her compassion and dedication to the hospice program. "Anne has been an administrative volunteer for the hospice program since 2005. She is consistent, reliable, and a hard worker, and her bright personality and great sense of humor are always welcome in the office. Anne will take on any job where needed and can always be counted on to do it well - the entire hospice team has come to rely on her. Everyone is so grateful that she has continued to be such a key part of the team."
