“How to Find Services, Programs and Benefits for Seniors” Lunch & Learn Topic at Meriden Public Library Feb. 19 - 1/29/2009 Wallingford, CT, January 21, 2009....... Seniors and their caregivers often have difficulty accessing the information they need that can link them to any number of health and social services available in the community. On Thursday, February 19, at 11:30 a.m. at the Meriden Public Library, Richard Memmott, Director of Masonicare Community Services, will provide information and offer advice that can help seniors navigate today's ever-changing maze of programs and services, including healthcare services, various housing options, insurance programs such as Medicare, Medicaid and Medicare Part D, caregiver assistance programs, state and federal programs, support groups, and more. Lunch & Learn programs are provided for seniors and their caregivers as a public service by Wallingford-based Masonicare, Connecticut's leading not-for-profit provider of healthcare and retirement living communities for seniors. A complimentary box lunch will be available for all attendees. The programs are free, but those wishing to attend are asked to call the library at 203-630-6349 by Tuesday, Feb. 17, to reserve a space.
