"A Healthy Brain: Use It So You Don’t Lose It" Topic of Masonicare's Free Lunch & Learn Program at Cheshire Public Library January 20 - 12/29/2008
Cheshire, CT, December 29, 2008 ........Keeping active - both physically and mentally - is important as we age, as a strong mind and body will help to ensure that growing older can truly be the "golden years."
On Tuesday, January 20, at 11:30 a.m. at the Cheshire Public Library, Dr. Karen Prestwood and Susan Grant, APRN, of Masonicare's Geriatric Assessment Program, will present an informative program entitled, A Healthy Brain: Use It So You Don't Lose It. Their presentation will explore the early signs of memory loss, explain what steps to take if memory loss becomes an issue, and they'll also provide sound strategies to use to keep your brain healthy.
Masonicare, Connecticut's leading not-for-profit provider of senior healthcare and retirement living, provides Lunch and Learn programs for seniors and their caregivers as a public service. The free Lunch and Learn program begins at 11:30 a.m. and includes a complimentary box lunch, but people are asked to make a reservation by contacting the Library at 203-272-2246. The Cheshire Public Library is located at 104 Main Street.
