Learn How to Improve Hearing Loss at Masonicare's Lunch & Learn at Miller Senior Center in Hamden - 10/6/2008

Hamden, CT, October 6, 2008..... Hillary Lewis, MA, CCC-A, an audiologist with Masonic Healthcare Center's Audiology Department, will present a program entitled, "Do You Hear What I Hear?  Hearing Loss, Hearing Aids, and How We Can Maximize Hearing Potential" at the Wednesday, Oct. 29 Lunch and Learn program at the Miller Senior Center, 2901 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden.

Today's technology has made significant differences in the way hearing devices can compensate for hearing loss.  Lewis will discuss what to expect with hearing loss, describe some of the newest, most sophisticated hearing aids available and how they can help, and provide advice to help people understand what might best meet their needs.

Lunch + Learn programs are provided for seniors and their caregivers as a public service by Masonicare.  The presentation will begin at 11:30 a.m., with a complimentary lunch provided following the program.  The programs are free, but people must make a reservation by Monday, Oct. 27, by contacting Suzanne Burbidge, Elderly Services Coordinator, at 203-287-2691
