Dr. Rajesh Tampi Named Director of Psychiatry for Wallingford-based Masonicare - 9/8/2008
Dr. Tampi received his Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychiatry at the University of Leeds in Leeds, England, and became Board Certified in Geriatric Psychiatry in 2004. He interned at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, VT, and since 2001, has filled various roles with Yale University's School of Medicine and the Yale Psychiatric Hospital. Dr. Tampi served as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Yale University School of Medicine and Co-Service Manager, Geriatric Service at the Yale-New Haven Psychiatric Hospital, from 2002-2008. He also served as the Program Director for the Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship Program at Yale University School of Medicine from 2006-2008. He is currently an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Tampi served as a flight surgeon, 103rd medical group, in the Connecticut Air National Guard. He resides in Hamden with his wife, Sunanda, who is a child psychiatrist, and their son Vaishnav.
