"Garden Party" at Masonic Child Development Center Brings Young and Old Together - 8/28/2008

"Grandpa Dan," also known as Danforth Shattuck, a resident of the Leslie G. Wright Residence at Masonic Healthcare Center in Wallingford, has a great time with his young pal Nick Preschel, a pre-K student at the Masonic Child Development Center, at the Center's 15th annual "Garden Party" held recently. A lovely, summer day was the perfect setting as the children entertained their guests and touted the beautiful garden they've been tending all summer. Each resident was delighted to receive a special gift made by the children. This intergenerational gathering is just one of the many Masonicare programs designed to bring seniors and children together to share good times and get to know one another.
